Faircloth serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Development and Sales. Since joining the Wake Forest Athletic Department in July 2002, Faircloth has led various external units including: development, ticket operations, gift accounting, marketing, media relations, ticket sales, sponsorship sales and the liaison with IMG, Tailgate Guys and other external revenue producing contracts.
Faircloth was instrumental in securing the BB&T Field naming rights agreement and its recent renewal. While leading the ticket sales group, ticket revenue grew from $2 million to $5.4 million over a 5-year period. Under Faircloth’s leadership, the development operation has grown from approximately $7 million in annual commitments to a 3-year average annual commitment from 2015-2017 of $40 million. Total gifts to the athletic department as part of the Wake Will Lead campaign have totaled $230 million on an original goal of $95 million resulting in the largest capital project buildout in Wake Forest Athletic Department history.
A 1993 Wake Forest graduate, Faircloth joined the Demon Deacon athletics staff after an 8-year sales and sales management career with Wallace Computer Services in Raleigh, Atlanta and Winston-Salem.
Barry and his wife, Beth have three daughters, Spencer, Sophia, and Olivia.
