We are exited to announce that NC Fusion has adapted a traditional community-based program for younger athletes with mental or physical disabilities to make it our own, iPlay is a way to take kids from the sidelines to participating in the game.
In an effort to bring kids together, both with disabilities and without, our iPlay sessions are centered around the interaction between Athletes and Buddies. Together, Athletes and their Buddies have a chance to play field games, kick goals, hula hoop, play frisbee, and generally do all of the things that kids love to do.
Athletes and Buddies develop a sense of belonging to the community, learn the value of being part of a team, and improve their self-esteem, fitness, and social skills. The iPlay program also provides parents with the opportunity to socialize with others while their athlete enjoys the benefits of sport.
