The NC Fusion Recreation program is a recreational (non-competitive) soccer program in which we hope to provide the best learning environment for your kids to enjoy the game of soccer. Our program will have smaller teams to ensure that kids get more one-on-one time with their coach and more touches on the ball. In the NC Fusion Recreation program, there will be no pressure to score goals or to win games but rather an emphasis on having fun while at the same time instilling a love and respect for the game.
Our goal is to provide your child with the opportunity to reach his or her potential (and to develop a healthy, active lifestyle) while at the same time teaching them teamwork, responsibility and commitment.
If interested in a higher level of competition, details can be found
here.
Program Details:
* Players must be registered in the recreation program in order to participate.
Fusion Futures Program - for players in the 7U-10U age groups, includes additional training.
Challenge Program - for players in the 11U-14U age groups, includes additional training, games and a tournament.
Fusion Recreation relies 100% on parent coaches, no experience needed, their primary role is to create a fun environment for the players. Please consider volunteering! We provide everything you need for a successful season: weekly practice sessions/curriculum, coaching equipment (cones, pinnies, soccer balls), and director support/oversight. If interested or have any questions, please contact Andrew Fleming at afleming@ncfusion.org.
Director, Andrew Fleming, will guide you through the registration process in the video above.
GRANT FUNDING AVAILABLE
Grant funding is available through Dick's Sporting Goods and All Kids Play to families who lack the resources to pay for youth sports.
More information and applications can be found on the following websites:
We offer the recreation program in the fall and spring seasons in the Greensboro, Kernersville/High Point and Winston Salem areas. You will select the recreation program closest to your home.
The system will then provide you with a list of teams in your player's age group. You may select a team based upon the training date and location that works best for you. Ex. 10U G Bears Tues Truist - the 10U Girls Bears team trains on Tuesdays at the Truist Sports Park. If you'd like your child to participate on the same team as another friend, just be sure to select the same team! See the map below to determine the location nearest your home.
All returning players from the 2024 spring season will have priority to re-join the same team for the 2024 fall season. New players may be placed on a different team if all returning players have registered by June 17th. New players will be contacted if they need to be moved to a new team.
What if my child wants to play with their friend/sibling in an older age group? Please register your player for a team in their correct age group and contact Recreation Director Andrew Fleming (afleming@ncfusion.org) to request a change. Our governing state association, NCYSA, does not allow players to play in a younger age group.
Note: To allow all players the appropriate playing time, once a team is full, additional players can no longer be added.
Interested in goalkeeping? The Recreation Goalkeeper Session is designed to provide a grassroots level of knowledge and technical training for our recreation players. The goal of the session is to allow players to gain experience and confidence in the goalkeeper position before the first games of the season. Players need only bring a soccer ball and water to the session. Players may or may not have goalkeeper gloves, but they are not a requirement. Details about the fall sessions will be announced as soon as possible.
Within the registration process, you will be able to select the practice location closest to your home.
Games may be played within your geographic location at any of the fields listed below.
