PLAYER EVALUATION INFORMATION FOR RISING 10U PLAYERS

(BIRTHDATES 8/1/16 – 7/31/17)

As we head into the last half of the spring season, it’s that time of year to start planning for the next step in your player’s soccer journey. Our staff has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare and provide intentional experiences to equip and develop players on and off the field and are excited to walk through this journey together.

As you are already aware, the age groups will be changing for the upcoming soccer year. All information about why the age groups are changing, as well as the birth date ranges for all new age groups is available on the TRYOUTS PAGE on the website. PlayMetrics will automatically select the correct age group for your player based upon the date of birth.  Please make sure you refer to the correct age group when viewing the player evaluation dates.

Rising 10U players will have two program options: The Juniors Program teams will continue to train 2 times per week in the self-selected location. We will also offer the Academy Program (considered the highest level for this age) to the selected top 20 players in the rising 10U age group. We will form both a boys’ and a girls’ pool team from players living within the Triad and those teams will train 3 times per week at a central location at Ivey Redmon Park in Kernersville.

You will have the choice of registering your player to attend one of the following:

1)       Academy evaluations: If you would like your player to be considered for the top team, you will want to register for the 2026/27 Competitive Soccer Registration. As a reminder, this team will train in a central location, 3 times per week. In the event a player registers and attends the Academy evaluations but is not selected for the Academy team, they will be invited to attend the Juniors evaluations to be placed on a team within your home area.

2)       Juniors evaluations: If you would like your player to be considered for the Juniors program you will want to register for 2026/27 Juniors Soccer Registration.

Once evaluations have concluded, your player will receive an invitation to join the Academy or Juniors program for the 2026/2027 soccer year or will receive a recommendation for developmentally appropriate programming.

If you are unsure where your child should be evaluated, please reach out to Chip Eakes at ceakes@ncfusion.org!
